Moses Boyd and Digga D lead nominations for the all-virtual AIM Awards 2020
The AIM Awards, the long-running awards ceremony celebrating musical independence, goes online this year on August 12th.
Its tenth anniversary edition is UK’s first large-scale music awards to go digital, and Arlo Parks has been confirmed as a live performer on the night.
Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award, and will receive the award posthumously following his passing in April.
Digga D and Moses Boyd have earned three nominations each, while Hanai Rani, Greentea Peng, Floating Points and Flying Lotus follow with two each.
A brand new ‘Best Remix’ category has been introduced, with nominees including Lafawndah’s ‘TOURIST X NÍDIA REWORK’ and Soulwax’s remix of Marie Davidson’s ‘Work It’ (which featured in our best tracks of 2019 list).
Voting for the Best Live Act is open to the public, who can do so here.

Dummy’s editor Felicity Martin was on the judging panel for the awards this year alongside other journalists, broadcasters and musicians.
