New Music: Novelist x Prem - Free Jammerz (God Knows)
2017 was a good one to the man known as Novelist. The MC successfully trolled us all earlier in the year by promising to drop a project that would break the internet, and his Be Blessed instrumental EP did a lot to showcase his supreme ability to craft layered, expansive beats, before returning to the raps on 'New Path'.
Closing out the year in style, N-O-V has linked up with new artist Prem in a new jam. 'Free Jammerz (God Knows)' is raw, fierce and what it may lack in terms of listening quality – it isn't all the way mixed and mastered – it more than makes up for with explosive bars. According to the 20-year-old's Twitter page, the track was recorded in just 20 minutes, which goes to further highlight his productivity.
Me and Prem recorded that song in 20 mins at home, didn't mix it much, but the point is this, thats a quick 20 mins work. We've been working on unheard/unreleased quality music for years consistently, with God.
The message is clear. This is the beginning of a powerful wave.
