Pakin - Sonicdoon (Prettybwoy Remix)

Prettybwoy, the Japanese garage DJ and producer who first caught our ears with the soft Kissin U on the otherwise heavy ‘Grime 2.0’ compilation, has recently shared a remix of a track by local grime MC Pakin (who sounds uncannily like Discarda). It’s more boisterous than you’d expect, but the expert groove and layered synth work that made Kissin U stand out is still present and it’s a testament to a producer who has been, as his bio explains, “into the London sound since 1999”.
