Premiere: Jamie Hustle - Pleasure Dome EP

Enter the world of the mysterious newcomer formally introduced on DJ Champion's label.

To date, DJ Champion’s label Formula Records has followed the image of its maker – with five releases either from Champion himself or the Bristolian producer Notion. Now, super wiry funky will never get tired to us, but Formula have switched things up a little for their latest EP, the debut offering from Jamie Hustle. There isn’t a lot to tell about him bar the Champion co-sign and the fact that the track Pleasure Dome has been played by DJs like Oneman and Nightwave, but that isn’t a bad start at all. His basslines have the heart-tugging pull of the best of the label and his forthright beat and melody preferences give a satisfying roundness to his sound that some of its more lean moments can lack, which all points to a very direct but euphoric two track introduction you should really give a listen to.
