Premiere: Childhood - Falls Away (Jack Savidge remix)

Before Childhood play Field Day this Sunday, Friendly Fires and DEEP SHIT guy Jack Savidge shares a house remix of their latest single.

Before they play at Field Day this Sunday, Childhood have dropped a new remix of their song Falls Away by Friendly Fires member and DEEP SHIT brain Jack Savidge.

Childhood are perhaps one of the better guitar bands in the UK right now, and the original Falls Away is a lush, warm pop song. Savidge's house rhythms might seem a far cry from that, then, but he actually keeps the general spirit, structure, and texture of the original firmly intact, proving how well the source material translates between styles. Top marks, Childhood! Falls Away appears on their debut album 'Lacuna', out in August through Marathon Artists.

Jack Savidge recently spoke to World Unknown's Andy Blake for a hefty feature with Dummy, where they talked about false prophets and fizzy noises, searching for the perfect space, and the myriad brands of mineral water.

Childhood play Field Day this Sunday, June 8th. House Anxiety/Marathon Artists release 'Lacuna' on August 11th 2014.
