Ride reunite to headline Field Day
Oxford's Ride are reuniting, and will play a string of dates presented by Field Day festival.
Responsible for 'Nowhere', one of the essential shoegaze albums, Ride broke up in 1996 after releasing four albums with Creation Records, each slightly worse than the one before it. Guitarist Andy Bell went on to play with Oasis and Beady Eye, and, with both of those groups now disbanded, he's evidently got more time on his hands to play with his old group.
Ride will headline Field Day's Sunday programme on June 7th 2015, as well as two Field Day Presents shows, one at Manchester's Albert Hall (May 23rd) and one at London's Roundhouse (May 24th).
"We are very excited to be playing at Field Day 2015," the band say in a statement, "We look forward to wrapping it all up on the main stage on Sunday night, where we'll be playing our first UK festival show since Glastonbury 1994."
Ride live dates:
May 23rd: Albert Hall, Manchester
May 24th: Roundhouse, London
June 7th: Field Day, London
