The Prodigy's Keith Flint has died, aged 49
The Prodigy’s vocalist and frontman, Keith Flint, has died.
The 49 year old was found dead at his home in Dunmow, Essex this morning. In a statement, Essex police said: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8.10am on Monday, March 4. We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Keith was the outrageous face of rave band The Prodigy and sang on number one singles ‘Breathe’ and, most famously, ‘Firestarter’.
Liam Howlett has said on The Prodigy’s Instagram that Keith Flint took his own life:
The music world has reacted with shock to the news and tributes are pouring in:
Oh gosh, so sad to hear about Keith Flint, he was always great fun to be around and very kind to Tom and I when we first started doing shows together..great man.

i did a few shows with The Prodigy last year and took my sister (who was pregnant at the time) along as we are both super fans. We where really nervous sitting side of stage but Keith came straight over to my sister and asked her how she was etc and was so lovely. ❤️

The Prodigy introduced me to dance music in the UK. Without them, I would never have got into Jungle. Without Jungle, I wouldn’t have got into Garage. Garage led to Grime. 🙏🏽 #RIPKeithFlint

RIP Keith Flint. I damn near burned a hole through The Prodigy Experience in 92 when there wasn't a lot of accessible dance music in Kentucky. It was a huge deal for me. I can't overstate it. I'm very grateful to have had proof that this world I wanted so badly actually existed.
