The Weekend will release a new LP in 2013

Stay calm, everyone: R&B's most elusive figure is prepping a new album, his Twitter confirms.

After 2012 saw the release of ‘Trilogy’, the triple album comprised of The Weeknd’s various mixtapes, R&B’s most enigmatic figure shows no sign of slowing down with plans to release a new full-length this year.

Singer Abel Tesfaye confirmed it on his Twitter page last night – in classic Weeknd style, with a blurry photo of his desktop background with a file labeled “2013 untitled album”.

This is officially the most excited we’ve been since the singer tweeted at the beginning of December, “you bout to lose me for a bit. i’m bout to get back on my sh*t”. Stay tuned.
