Timbaland's Beatclub links with Native Instruments on customised midi controller

Budding producers can impress Timbo with their creations and win one of the ultra-limited run of 150 keyboards

Timbaland is on a mission to revolutionise music production. The super-producer has been working on Beatclub, a new platform where creators can find samples, beats and loops from some of the biggest producers in the game (think Mike WiLL Made It, Mike Dean, Scott Storch).

Now, Timbo has teamed up with Native Instruments on a limited edition, customised Komplete Kontrol M32 midi controller in a marbled, molten-blue colour.

“Komplete Kontrol keyboards have been an integral part of my work for years,” Timbaland says. “I love seeing the Beatclub logo on a piece of equipment that’s been so important to my creative process.”

Super-limited, only 150 of the keyboards have been manufactured and are not for sale anywhere. Some have been given to a select group of Beatclub members, including Take A Daytrip and Powers Pleasant, but Beatclub is running a competition to enable budding producers to get their hands on one.

Beatmakers can download a selection of ‘Holy Grail’ samples provided by Tim himself, and flex their production chops on a track over two minutes in length. Timbaland will then personally select ten winners to receive the limited edition gear. Enter here.

The platform is also partnering with StockX on an exclusive charity auction raising money for Girls Make Beats, a non-profit organisation that supports young women aspiring to become producers, DJs and audio engineers.
