1. ATO – ‘No Caroline’

Undeniably one of the most exciting prospects coming out of Leeds right now, ATO’s recently released EP ‘SIDE A’ shows exactly what all the hype is about. On ‘No Caroline’, the British-Ghanian-Danish artist gives a deeply personal take on being Black in the Northeast of England, weaving his introspective lyrics over a dreamlike cloud rap beat.

2. Fauness – ‘Dragonfly’

Preparing for the October 8 release of her debut EP ‘Maiden No More’, Fauness has toasted a glittering new single ‘Dragonfly’. Complete with uplifting melodies and her distinctive pop sound, the rising singer-songwriter continues to be an underground sensation.

3. Zelly Ocho – ‘Outside’

Somewhat of a trailblazer for the rap scene in Cleveland, Ohio, Zelly Ocho has tirelessly been putting in the work 2016. On new single ‘Outside’, he channels the raw rockstar energy of Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert while creating a whole sonic world of his own.

4. Shadient – ‘Dancing Alone Again’ ft. fknsyd

At the age of just 21 it’s amazing to think that Shadient has been producing for over 10 years, yet this artistic maturity is quickly made clear upon listening to his work. Tapping up Colorado-based vocalist fknsyd, a singer known for her dreamy electronic collaborations, Shadient pushes the boundaries of his own sound to create a track which instantly leaves an impact.

5. M.I.C (The Master of Inane Conversation) – ‘Onitsuka Tiger Versus Evisu’

For someone who has been labelled the pioneer of grime’s newest renaissance, North London rapper and producer M.I.C (The Master of Inane Conversation) certainly doesn’t let it phase him. Putting his own experimental stamp on everything he puts out, latest track ‘Onitsuka Tiger Versus Evisu’ shows what he is all about.
