A popular figure within Baltimore’s rap scene, Butch Dawson’s habit of experimenting with fresh new sounds has made him an exciting prospect. Known for his melodic jazz sound, the rapper switches up his style on ‘Hummer’ turning in a bass driven trap song where his flows rip through the seams of the beat.

2. R. Missing – ‘Crimeless’

R. Missing’s dark and brooding synth pop would be ideal for a night-time cruise around the duo’s home state of New York. Their latest release ‘Crimeless’ is a highly atmospheric cut which sees the pair experiment with a pulsating goth-tinged sound.

3. Harrison Lipton – ‘With U – Remix’

Back in 2019, Brooklyn-based vocalist, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Harrison Lipton released his disco-influenced single ‘With U’. Now, the track has been injected with a new lease of life thanks to a remix from indie pop artists Middle Part and Nana Lourdes.

4. piglet – ‘Mill’

The solo project of Irish songwriter and producer Charlie Loane, piglet’s music reflects on the transgender experience with a personal and intimate focus. His new single ‘Mill’ is a smooth bedroom pop number understanding how gender and sexuality doesn’t have to be easily definable.

5. Elphi – ‘Out My Head’

Managing to keep it fun while making complex and genre-pushing music, Elphi’s journey into the world of hyperpop has made the budding talent one to watch as the scene continues to grow. On latest release ‘Out My Head’, the singer navigates across the bubbly production with buckets of energy and attitude.
