Deptford Goth - Bloody Lip

Deptford Goth has a new video for reflective album cut Bloody Lip. We've spoken on how well the South Londoner has woven a strong aesthetic through his visuals before, and it's good to see that's continued since the release of 'Life After Defo' earlier in the year. Featuring an older gentleman facing to camera and again with Woolhouse showing off his direction skills, that aesthetic comes through again with swathes of vibrant colour hitting around halfway through, as well as the familar karaoke-style on-screen lyrics. There's something unfussy and touching about the whole thing, and it serves as a reminder of how many of Woolhouse's songs carry an old soul and a well-worn heart at their core.

After playing to a sold-out Union Chapel on Friday, Deptford Goth will be melting hearts at the Dummy AGM at London Fields Brewery on Sunday. Tickets and more information on that here.
