Ikonika - Mr. Cake

Ikonika's new album 'Aerotropolis' (it's currently available to stream here) is a little bit dark and a little bit dreamy, based around the concept of an airport city and the intense feelings of claustrophia and potential escape living in such places can provoke. The video for Mr. Cake taps into all of that and also looks to the producer's well-documented video game influence – with an animated heroine living in a part-GTA, part-Sims and part-Outrun world freeing herself from the muck and grime of the city and jetting off into the clouds. The clip is directed by regular Hyperdub collaborator Rob Walker. 

Hyperdub will release 'Aerotropolis' on 29th July 2013.
