Nia Archives paints a tale of London love in video for new track 'So Tell Me...'

"We aimed to push the boundaries of what a jungle video actually looks like..."

Adding the cherry on top of what is turning out to be an incredible year for the new gen junglist, Nia Archives shares her brand new single ‘So Tell Me…’.

Since her breakout year in 2021, the Leeds-raised songstress has quickly established herself as one of the UK’s most in demand artists, elbowing her way to the front line of an exciting new rave scene proliferating throughout the country.

Hot off the back of her record breaking debut Boiler Room, her recent MOBO Awards nomination, and becoming the first electronic artist to ever be awarded the BBC Introducing Artist of the Year, the rising star is closing out 2022 in style with this new ethereal jungle offering and music video.

Directed by Dan Emerson, the new visual follows the story of two young lovers in London hanging out with their separate friends, only to find each other at the end of the night.

“Directing with Dan was so much fun!” says Nia. “There were so many great ideas and so much positive energy on set. When I sent him my initial mood board and treatment of what I wanted to create, it was really important to me from the jump to be casting POC main characters in this story – as this is something we don’t usually get to see in this kind of music.

“We also ended up casting non actors to get a more natural chemistry – it’s a real couple who live together in real life and their friends too! We aimed to push the boundaries of what a jungle video actually looks like, and I feel like we did just that – making a punky jungle video that references some of my favourite music videos ever including Massive Attack ‘Unfinished Symphony’ and Arctic Monkeys ‘When The Sun Goes Down.”
