glaive announces debut album ‘i care so much i dont care at all,' shares lead single
glaive is rolling out the news of his debut album 'i care so much i dont care at all' with a brand new single and visual, titled 'as if'.
The 18-year-old North Carolina native only began making music at the start of the pandemic but has quickly become one of the most hyped-up teenagers on the planet. Best known for his colourful hooks, passionate lyrics, and the sugary hyperpop-leaning instrumentals that punctuate his output, the rising superstar is looking inwards more than ever with his forthcoming project.
Speaking on the new track, glaive says: “We made ‘as if’ in December when we thought the album was already done. For a long time, I had been making music about relationships, but I hadn’t been in a relationship in a year and a half at that point, so I was forced to look more inward.
"This was one of the first songs where I guess I ended up talking about myself and the world from my perspective, rather than other people’s," he adds. "It’s scary to be honest about who I am and for a long time, I was scared to show anyone the song. But now it’s out and the first single from the album."
glaive has previously released three EPs: ‘cypress grove’, ‘all dogs go to heaven’ and ‘then I’ll be happy’ with ericdoa - but the forthcoming LP is set to raise the bar even higher.
