Mall Grab recruits Novelist and D Double E on murky jungle anthem 'Times Change'

"One of my personal favourites on the LP..."

When dance music heavyweight Mall Grab announced the track list for his forthcoming debut album ‘What I Breathe’ earlier in the year, one track, with its double helping of grime royalty, was quick to get people talking. Featuring both Novelist and D Double E, the long-anticipated single ‘Times Change’ has now finally been shared by the Australian producer alongside an after-hours cruising music video.

The track sees Mall Grab swap out his traditional peak-hours club-oriented sound for a murky rave anthem, drawing influence from the UK’s iconic rave heritage to produce a sizzling blend of jungle and grime.

Speaking on the track, Mall Grab says: “I made this beat a few years ago in its first iteration with Novelist in mind. Once it reached its final stage I reached out to him, and he wrote the hook and his verse while we were in the studio in west London – conveniently leaving space for a second verse for another London legend. I was lucky enough to get D on the track for the second to close it off – both of them bringing their signature styles and finesse, rounding off one of my personal favourites on the LP.”

Featuring the likes of Novelist, D Double E, Nia Archives, Brendan Yates and more, ‘What I Breathe’ arrives on August 5 via Mall Grab’s own ‘Looking For Trouble’ label and is set to mark a brand new chapter for the dance mainstay.
