Nikhil Beats enlists Safiyyah and KeepVibesNear for sultry R&B cut 'Days Like This'

Up-and-coming East London producer Nikhil Beats has worked with some of the UK underground’s finest talents, such as Danny Sanchez, Finn Foxell and more. Continuing what has been a productive year already, having dropped his ‘3000 Realms’ album alongside a number of singles, the beatmaker is back again with a sizzling new offering.

Entitled ‘Days Like This’, Nikhil enlists previous collaborator and West London songstress Safiyyah, as well as rising alt-R&B vocalist KeepVibesNear, for an intimate and soul-bearing cut. Putting to use the producer’s hybrid sound, which blends his Indian heritage with a modern sonic palette heavily influenced by London’s flourishing music scene, the track’s dark undertone sets the scene as it processes the highs and lows of how we navigate through everyday life to reach a positive place.

Speaking about the song, Safiyyah states that it’s “a reminder for people that we all get stressed and have bad days but to relax and enjoy life’s beauties.” KeepVibesNear additionally expresses his thoughts on the track, explaining: “The song is about being present even when life is piling on top of you. Appreciating the journey because you know things get hard but you push through regardless.”

Both currently working on separate projects, Safiyyah and KeepVibesNear close the year on a high with their new joint offering. Having recently performed the single live at Safiyyah’s sold-out show, the collaboration came about with ease between three friends who share the same day to day experiences.
