Premiere: Oleka - The Thing About You

Oleka is a South London-based quartet that "make night music; songs to make you reflect." The first taste of their sound arrives in the form of The Thing About You (premiering below), which is be released in the near future.

Twitchy click-clack textures serve as the backbone of Oleka's debut whilst their harmonies (or multitracked vocals?) interplay around cyclical shuddering percussion. Melodramatic and airy, The Thing About You steps lightly across familiar territory but with off-kilter sensibilities that introduce an intriguing and novel take of contemporary pop.
