Rapper RickyBoy returns with 'Step Up Freestyle'
The track not only demonstrates RickyBoy's slick flow but speaks to the importance of unity within his inner circle. Part of the SPMM team, although they hail from diverse backgrounds, the collective connect through their shared dedication to and love for music.
Accompanying the release of 'Step Up Freestyle' is a music video directed by JV, which follows RickyBoy as he links up with his friends, hops in a van and pre-games for an evening's party, taking us from day to night.
Having made his mark with the impactful debut EP 'RickySzn' in 2020, RickyBoy has grown his profile over recent years, amassing more than 200,000 views on his YouTube channel.
Speaking on the new single, RickyBoy said it derived from his catch phrase ‘steppy’, "which applies to everyone with a goal or ambition in life to achieve greater things. Unity and brotherhood embody ‘Step Up Freestyle’. Myself and the team were abroad in Kenya when I recorded the track off the dome.”
'Step Up Freestyle' is out now.
