33⅓ announce new book proposals, including Oneohtrix Point Never, Run The Jewels, and Daft Punk
33⅓ is a book series where an author writes about one album over the length of an entire book. Having basically exhausted the canonical classics of the rock and punk pantheon, recent years have seen the series explore less obvious, more contemporary albums.
The series holds an open invitation for anybody to submit a book proposal, and this year's list of potential albums includes everything from The B-52s to Daft Punk to recent records by Oneohtrix Point Never ('R Plus Seven') and Run The Jewels ('Run The Jewels').
The final list features a massive 605 proposals, but you can check it out in full at 33⅓'s website.
Otherwise, here are the five most popular proposals:
Tori Amos 'Boys For Pele' (proposed eight times)
Weezer 'Pinkerton' (proposed six times)
Arcade Fire 'The Suburbs' (proposed four times)
Björk 'Biophilia' (proposed four times)
Guns N’ Roses 'Appetite for Destruction' (proposed four times)
