4AD signs Purity Ring

Intriguing, sugary sweet project join Zomby, Bon Iver, Grimes and SpaceGhostPurrp on British indie 4AD.

Although we are waiting on an official announcement, Stereogum has pointed us towards the acquisition of electro-pop project Purity Ring by British independent label 4AD.

The future-electro-pop duo is composed by Megan James and Corin Roddick and also known for the previous Belispeak – released on a split 7’‘with Montreal band Braids (which you can stream below) through Fat Possum Records. Other previous productions feature Ungirthed 7’‘ and its B-side Lofticries, out on Transparent.

Purity Ring’s next release is still to be determined, but according to the lungs image on the band’s homepage it seems expected for 24th July 2012.
