AlunaGeorge - Your Drums, Your Love (Friendly Fires remix)

Friendly Fires frontman Ed MacFarlane apparently had a strange sense of deja vu the first time he watched the debut video from AlunaGeorge, ‘You Know You Like It’, as he realised that he was watching the Aluna who had been his friend back in his hometown of St Albans. Phone calls were made, and appropriately enough, the hyperactive indie-rock group have now remixed AlunaGeorge’s latest single (and our Song of the Week ), ‘Your Drums, Your Love’.

With a broader spectrum of electronic noises, and a fair amount of the pops and fizzes that characterise a fun Friendly Fires anthem, the remix elevates the original track into something bigger and brighter, bouncing along on glockenspiel-ish beats and layered vocals. Give it a listen here.
