Aphex Twin hints at return with London blimp and New York pavement symbols
About 13 years on from his last studio album was released (and a few months since that Kickstarter for his lost album), Aphex Twin seems to be plotting a comeback.
First, there was a blimp flying over London, hovering above Oval Space in Hackney, London with his logo and the number '2014' emblazoned across it.
Now, someone else has noticed a very professional-looking Aphex Twin logo spraypainted on a pavement in New York, firstly at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall, then outside the Music Hall of Williamsburg, and then near the SoHo Apple Store.
Neither Aphex nor Warp have confirmed their involvement yet, but the label are celebrating their 25th anniversary in Kraków shortly, which'll feature interpretations of the Warp back catalogue – including music by Aphex Twin – by the London Sinfonietta.
