A song of erupting moans, cut into by childish jabs of speech and beats, make Crystal Ball, by Montreal’s goth-pop star Grimes a jumpy and excitable track. Babe Rainbow’s re-work of the song, however, twists these elements into something longer, slower and softer. Isolating the vocals and allowing them to soar over a landscape of sparse, crackling beats makes this remix an understated yet powerful take on the original. You can listen for yourself below.
