Citizenn - Together (As A People)

Hot 'n' sweaty house music from the ace producer.

Laurence Blake has been crafting excellent, sexy, late night house music for a couple of years now as Citizenn (née Citizen). With a number of 12"s under his belt, Citizenn's next venture is a full-length debut album called 'Human Interface', landing on Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels.

You'll have to wait until June 15th to hear that album, but for now, you can get into the spirit of the record with Tied, the album's first single. Besides coming with remixes by the legends Murk, Denney, and Adesse Versions, the single also features a deep roller called Together (As A People). It is on fire – you can feel the sweat dripping from the ceiling.

On top of being a fine producer and DJ, Citizenn is also an articulate speaker and an astute thinker, as demonstrated in a very insightful conversation feature between him and Hercules & Love Affair, conducted earlier this year. A perfect soundtrack to that feature might be Blake's Dummy Mix from all the way back in 2012.
