Fake Blood to soundtrack a screening of cult horror film Suspiria

Appropriately named electro producer to get pulses racing with live soundtrack as part of BFI's Sonic Cinema series.

The British Film Institute’s Sonic Cinema series returns in April with a showing of Italian horror director Dario Argento’s 1977 cult classic Suspiria about an American ballet student who unwittingly attends a school in Germany run by witches (best horror plot ever?). As with previous screenings, it will be accompanied by a live soundtrack – this time by Theo Keating aka electro producer Fake Blood. (Fun fact: Theo used to be one half of 90s UK hip hop duo The Wiseguys.)

“It should be amazing,” organiser DJ Tayo told Dummy. “Theo has written loads of new music and is mashing it up with various library music and other esoteric electronic business.”

Suspiria was originally released in 1977 with a genre-defining soundtrack by Italian electronic rock act Goblin. Check the super creepy original theme tune below.
