Funkineven - Egypt

Funkineven is rounding off a busy year with a new 12" for Eglo Records. Due out later this month, Egypt (shared here as an NTS Radio rip) is a bit of transcendent analogue funk that marks a slight departure from some of the jack tracks that he's released this year. It's a bit of an escapist fantasy, too – Egypt the country is in the middle of a tumultuous revolution, but Egypt the track seems to be harking back to ancient times, a sacred sunrise above the pyramids reflecting off the sand.

The 12" is split with The Abstract Eye aka Gifted & Blessed's Reflexes, which was previously only available on Eglo's 'Vol. 1' compilation.

Eglo Records will release Egypt on November 18th (vinyl). A digital release will follow.
