Illum Sphere - Fat Ballet

Genre-hopping Manchester-based DJ and producer signs to Ninja Tune and gives away a free track to celebrate.

Big news: Manchester DJ/producer, Hoya:Hoya resident and all-round fantastic DJ (like, really fantastic) Illum Sphere has just signed to Ninja Tune.

It’s a perfect match, really – Ninja Tune built their reputation on being a home for the erudite cratedigger and genre flipper, and Illum Sphere’s sets are a continuation of this ethos for the modern day. There is, of course, another side to Illum Sphere. As a producer he has released on Tectonic and 3024, as well as on Young Turks with the recent h808er and Birthday.

By way of celebration, Illum Sphere – birth name Ryan Hunn, for those that want to know – is giving a way a new track, Fat Ballet, which you can download on the Ninja Tune website here.
