Following the meeting of Jeremih and Shlohmo for the much-loved Bo Peep (Do U Right) – song of the week worthy, in fact – Painted Faces is easily the next strongest track that’s come out of the Songs From Scratch project thus far. Jacques Greene’s production is as colourful as always, with a juddering 2-step shuffle in the verses – and Tinashe’s breathy central hook will no doubt be ingrained on your brain after a few replays.
