Julia Holter shares the first half of the "centrepiece" to forthcoming third album 'Loud City Song'.

Julia Holter has shared the third taste of her new release 'Loud City Song', in the shape of Maxim's I. Following chilling album opener World, and the rises and waves of In The Green Wild, this is the first half of a Maxim's two-parter viewed as the "centrepiece" of the new album. Holter's music has always played around with tension and space, but on 'Loud City Song' there's a greater emphasis on the performative and a further colouring of her craftmanship – elements played out in Maxim's I's theatrical flourishes and orchestral tumbles. The track comes with a clip of understated black and white footage of photos of Holter and her musicians at work in the studio, which you'll find below.
