Lapalux - Without You (alternate version)

Lapalux has shared a fresh take on Without You, one of his debut album’s most vulnerable turns, which is also responsible for one of the more memorable videos of the year so far. Gone is the spacious, skeletal production, and in its place a sturdy sub-bass backing that falls more closely in line with recent album offcuts Forlorn and Moveoutmyway. You also detect more of the hip hop abstractions of Clams Casino or WEDIDIT’s associates than has been apparent in Lapalux’s work previously. Give this enough spins and you may just find yourself favouring it over the original.
