Movement Torino 2019 to celebrate the moon landing anniversary with techno legends

The festival will take you to the moon and back... with Jamie Jones, Derrick May and more as your guides

An unmissable event for any techno lover, Movement Torino festival has confirmed its full line-up for this year’s edition. The festival will run three nights from 31st October to 2nd November in three different locations in Italy, bringing some of the world’s finest techno DJs on board.

This year’s theme is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, in which festivalgoers will be immersed in a multi-dimensional space trip with extraterrestrial atmosphere created by top class lighting and stage production.

At the main event at Lingotto on Halloween, heavyweights Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati will play an exclusive b2b session, alongside must-see solo sets from the likes of Belgium’s Amelie Lens, Spanish spinners Dennis Cruz and Eddy M, Denmark’s Anastasia Kristensen, America’s DJ Bone, Holland’s ANOTR, and the UK’s PAWSA and Michael Bibi.

This year Movement will also especially host an all-female night on 1st of November at Milk Club. The selection of female talent includes Slovenian breakthrough artist Brina Knauss and esteemed Israeli DJ, producer and vocalist, Magit Cacoon.

Audiodrome Live Club will welcome the founding father of techno himself, Derrick May, joining another Detroit legend, D-Wynn to perform two intimate sets on the closing day on 2nd November.

In addition, Movement Torino are to combine the festival with the city’s celebrated history of art in Turin, following its sister festival in Detroit, with a series of cultural events including ‘Politechno’ lectures given at Politecnico di Torino and other activities that accompany international contemporary art fair ARTISSIMA. There will also be a variety of post-festival club nights and a private event at Torino Airport Departures Lounge.
