Outfit - I Want What's Best

Liverpudlian outfit Outfit are releasing their debut album ‘Performance’ later this year and they’ve released their first proper glimpse into how it’ll sound. Following on from the sublime Performance comes I Wanted What’s Best, a song which previously appeared online in demo form, albeit for only a brief period. I Wanted What’s Best streamlines and consolidates their influences into a complete package – microhouse rhythms, clever songwriting from the poppier end of the post-punk spectrum, and studio-as-instrument overdubs. It’s really great, too.

Double Denim will release ‘Performance’ on 12th August.
