Peggy Gou, Paul Kalkbrenner, Amelie Lens and more join Decibel Open Air 2023 line up
Italy's Decibel Open Air Festival reveals the star-studded first wave of acts confirmed for its summer 2023 chapter, including Amelie Lens, Peggy Gou, Paul Kalkbrenner and more.
After the recently sold out Easter edition and last year’s event gathering no less than fifty thousand attendees, with thirty percent coming outside of Italy, the festival is returning 9-10 September to remind people why it's widely considered one of Europe's top festivals.
There's plenty of reasons Decibal Open Air is causing ripples across the world festival circuit. Set in the picturesque city of Florence, the electronic music festival taps into the boundary-pushing history of the area. Once the birthplace of the Renaissance and a global cradle of art, architecture and fashion, the city now welcomes the world of dance music with open arms to its biggest park.
Joining the line up this year, the festival has locked in some of electronic music's most legendary and high-flying acts from the worlds of techno, house and beyond.
Paul Kalkbrenner comes back to Decibel Open Air for the third time. Coming from the golden age of techno, he spent his teenage years raving before starting to DJ and collect records as electronic dance music’s first tidal wave spilled throughout the city. Now returning to Italy's cultural capital this September, he's sure to get the party started in a big way.
Bringing her kinetic combination of dark, pulsing house and techno, broken beats and abstract compositions, Peggy Gou is also poised to be one of this year's standout acts.
Other names include Moderat (live) Michael Bibi, Amelie Lens, Salmo (live), Lazza (live), Boris Brejcha, Loco Dice B2b Jamie Jones, Camelphat, Meduza, I Hate Models and many more.
