Premiere: Lakosa & iO - Home Early (West Norwood Cassette Library remix)

Stream the south London garage producer's bass-oriented re-imagining of a deep house track.

UK house producer Lakosa and London-based iO have collaborated on ‘Home Early’, which makes the third release of Kerri Chandler’s MadTech imprint.

Threaded by an almost subliminal hint of vocals, the original version of Home Early is a luminous piece of classic deep house production that recalls the late 90s. While West Norwood Cassette Library’s rework keeps the crispness and gauziness of the track, it is coated in pitched-up vocals, stretched over layer of strings, arrays of bassline, and the breakdown in the middle, which gives it a UK garage touch.
