Saa - Your Sword Is Your Silence

Girl/boy duo Saa impressed us from the word go earlier this year with their inventive take on electronic pop, with the combative Against Interpretation named as our Song of the Week – before all said sounds promptly vanished from Soundcloud. Unsurprisingly, the tracks’ disappearance can be put down to label interest, and Saa’s self-titled EP will be put out on Throwing Snow’s Left Blank label in July (artwork pictured).

Today they’ve shared the brilliantly named Your Sword Is Your Silence, lifted from the EP. Over a bed of frost-hit guitar and restrained bass, Linn Carin Dirdal comes off like cleaned-up Elizabeth Fraser for the sweetly melody, while its general airs of poise and pleasantness offer comparisons to emerging dream pop-pers GEMS.

Left Blank will release Saa’s self-titled EP on the 8th July.
