Solar Year - Global Girlfriend

Following Magic Idea’s plaintive caresses, the Jamie Harley-directed video for which we premiered, Montreal-based duo Solar Year have shared Global Girlfriend. Set to appear on a vinyl re-release of their debut ‘Waverly’ (originally released last year), Global Girlfriend is like listening to a Peter Gabriel record put to the grinder: with whiffs of panpipe melody forming roughly around razored rhythms.
