Little Boots - Taste It

Brill new tune from the pop musician slash businesswoman.

Taste It is the first song from Little Boots's new 'Business Pleasure' EP, a short-player that's so-named because Boots has spent recent times adapting to her new role: a businesswoman. It's all outlined in a very excellent article that she wrote for The Sunday Times last year, but the gist is that Little Boots is no longer locked into a restrictive major label deal, and is therefore in control of her own career choices and creative decisions. Besides doing her music on her terms, she's also started her own label and is signing pop artists – and all of these things cost money, hence why you can see her suited and booted in her latest press shots.

To be fair, Little Boots never really suited the major label system – you were more likely to see Philip Oakey doing a guest spot on one of her songs than someone like Taio Cruz (or whoever the hell else was at the top of the charts back in 2009, we can't remember).
