Premiere: Nicholas Krgovich - Along The PCH On Oscar Night (Nite Jewel remix)

Ramona Gonzalez does a gorgeous remix of Nicholas Krgovich's LA-styled soft rock.

Nicholas Krgovich is a Canadian musician who's been releasing records for years now, both solo and in the bands P:ano, No Kids, and Gigi. 'On Sunset' is his newest solo album and its lead single is called Along the PCH on Oscar Night.

Obviously, "PCH" refers to the Pacific Coast Highway, and obviously "Oscar Night" refers to the Academy Awards ceremony, so it's perhaps no surprise to hear that Along the PCH on Oscar Night is a piece of sophisticated, LA-styled adult contemporary. It seems only fitting, then, that he should enlist an actual Los Angeles musician to remix the song: Ramona Gonzalez, aka Nite Jewel, keeps the shape and structure of Krgovich's orginal mostly intact but strips out some of its cheese and sleaze, reducing the beat to a slow shuffle and adding swelling synth pads.
