The Olympic stadium could become a live music venue

The Olympic complex in Stratford might just be London's new favourite place to watch a gig.

The biggest live music company in the world, Live Nation, are allegedly in talks to host gigs at the Olympic stadium in East London from this summer.

The venue is set to re-open with an anniversary weekend of live music on the 27th and 28th July to mark the anniversary of the games. CEO of the London Legacy Development Corporation Dennis Hone, charged with securing the future of the Olympic complex, stated that he hopes to name the summer acts by the end of the month. We can only speculate as to whether Emeli Sandé will grace the stage in 2013 as frequently as she did at the Olympic ceremonies.

The live music corporation has just ended their ten year-long contract with Hyde Park, due to the noise restrictions of the area.
