NEXT HYPE is our weekly-freshed best new music playlist, along with BRAND NEW which champions under-the-radar artists, then the genre-specific ELECTRONICS, UK RAP DRILL & GRIME, BEDROOM POP and R&B POP & SOUL.
Today guest curating the playlist is none other than BBC 1Xtra mainstay Jamz Supernova, someone who continually has her eye on exciting new sounds. The south London DJ has earned her stripes as a selector in the know, having cut her teeth on stations like Reprezent, and through her Future Bounce label and party series she now champions artists she loves. Today, kickstarting the label’s Club Release series is British-Ghanaian producer Hagan, whose ‘Right Here’ you can find below in her specially-curated playlist.
Ahead of Jamz’s Future Bounce night taking place at Omeara on Saturday March 21st with live performances from Barney Artist and JGrrey, plus DJ sets from (Konny Kon) Children of Zeus, (Femi) Ezra Collective. EVM128, Melle Brown and Jamz herself, she’s put together some of her favourite tracks out today, as well as some music you can expect to hear at the upcoming event.
