To the obvious excitement of everyone, D’Angelo gave a surprise performance at Questlove’s weekly DJ gig at the Brooklyn Bowl last night, as Pitchfork reported earlier today. The pair played a 10-song jam session made up of covers, classics and some new material; reconfirmed the news that a third D’Angelo album is almost done and finished with an encore performance of the ‘Brown Sugar’ standout Lady, all captured here on an audience member’s phone camera.
