Fatima Al Qadiri - Vatican Vibes [video]

I first heard of Fatima Al Qadiri (also known as Ayshay) on Oneohtrix Point Never’s guest post on Altered Zones. In the article there’s a short introduction and a video of her track Warn U, which is layered with chilling, hypnotic chantings and obscure, woozy synth lines. This Arabian-American musician has just released a new video for Vatican Vibes [via The Fader], which you can stream it above.

Vatican Vibes is a surreal, fantasy techno track that resembles Gatekeeper; it also has a very sci-fi, Thunder Horse Video-esque video to go with it. In fact, this dark, atmospheric and absorbing video clip is directed by Thunderhorse associate Tabor Robak. Fatima Al Qadiri will release a series of videos to go with her upcoming ‘Genre-Specific Xperience’ EP, due out on 25th October via UNO.
