Laura Welsh - Cold Front

The icy new song from rising popstar Laura Welsh now has a brilliant video, which taps into the essence of the track’s minimalist production with its focus on one dancer and the interaction of her movements with light, water and paint. It’s full of visual gimmicks, but has a quiet intensity that gives it more of a punch than that would suggest; more than anything else, though, Robin Hannibal’s gloomy pop production (also heard on the likes of Rhye) makes this a compelling watch.
