Trail blazer M.I.A. backs up the sonic aggression of her choppy new track Bring The Noize with an equally teeth-baring new video, released today. Full of snarled delivery to camera and surreal, cult-like goings on, it’s standard M.I.A. fare (which amounts to a fun watch). Le1f recently talked about how important the Sri Lankan star was to alternative rap in an interview for Dummy’s new feature on the expanding boundaries of hip hop. ““People, I guess, got tired of her talking about politics while she was living this privileged life,” the New York rapper said of the star, defending her: “but it was still her experience to talk about.”

N.E.E.T./Interscope will release M.I.A.‘s fourth album ‘Matangi’ later this year.
