Nine Inch Nails - Came Back Haunted

Nine Inch Nails recently returned with Came Back Haunted and have since teased a new video directed by David Lynch. That video is now live, and it’s as apt a match for the two as you’d imagine. Seizure-inducing visuals (this isn’t dumb wordplay, there is literally a seizure warning at the beginning) and extreme cutting and close-ups are a visual match for Trent Rezonor’s auditory assault, whilst a couple of trademark Lynch motifs appear (humanoid, Eraserhead styled sculptures). All in all, it’s a good reunion for both Reznor and Lynch – the two previously worked together on Lynch’s sublime 1997 film Lost Highway, with Reznor contributing to the score as well NIN providing songs for its distinctive industrial metal soundtrack.

Lynch himself has hardly been quiet recently – he recently detailed a new album and shared a couple of songs from it, whilst we counted down some of his best songs over the years.
