Pinty cuts through the London night in video for DJ JD Sports (aka King Krule)-produced 'It's Just Life'
With a distinguishable style spawned from his experience growing up in and around London and its bustling underground music scene, MC Pinty’s work serves as an astute documentation of the capital’s changing landscape through the lens of a sharp-eyed insider.
The latest instalment from the London-based lyricist comes in the form of the slick cut ‘It’s Just Life’, taken from his forthcoming EP ‘Midnight Moods’ that arrives on April 17.
Teaming up with long-time friend and musical-maverick Archy Marshall under his DJ JD Sports alias for production, Pinty skips over the blunted hip-hop beat with his smooth lyrical style borrowing from British sound system culture before shaping it into his own distinct sound.
The Jocelyn Anquetil-directed visuals show Pinty after nightfall in the city and place him at the centre of smoke-filled gatherings and tipsy after-hours boozing sessions. Cutting back to personal footage taken with his friends, the video clips in glimpses of street parties and gigs while overlaying sequences of stills documenting the emcee and his peers.
