Premiere: a i r s p o r t s - don't need u

In Adam Harper’s exploratory essay on Bandcamp for Dummy a few months back, one of the online labels featured was SEWAGE TAPES, who as well as recently putting out works by Traxman and everyone’s favourite Bay Area mentalist Lil B, also released the first a i r s p o r t s album. One of the standouts from that hypnagogic collection was the expansive and surprisingly alluring don’t need u. If seapunk really does exist in any meaningful musical form, and not just as a dolphin-heavy fashion fad, then I’m perfectly happy when its beats sound this effortlessly infectious.

The video is a handheld affair featuring a man having an epic Monster energy drink sampling session – approaching it with all the gusto of a fine wine tasting. He also smokes some cigarettes using a giant lighter and dances around a field with a sword, as you do.
