Premiere: Check the lo-fi, smoked-out 'SSV2' from Lord Apex

After winning over a legion of fans (and Dummy) with his off-kilter, hazy beats, West London rapper Lord Apex is on the brink of dropping a brand new album.

‘Smoke Sessions Volume 2’ is the White City rapper’s follow-up to 2016’s volume one – a “​soundtrack for smokers worldwide​.” Handling the entirety of the vocals himself is Apex, while the album’s production credits include N2deepbeatz​, ​False cut​, ​HNIC​, ​Toonorth​, ​Orphy​, ​Yotaro​, ​Jase Money​ and ​Drae Tha Skimask.

Lead single ‘SSV2’, which we’re premiering above, finds Apex peaking through his deft lyricism and its swirling, spacey beat. It’s an insight into the “stoner underworld of London,” which the accompanying video reflects, with Apex riding the tube and shutting down shows.
