Schonwald - Treasure

Schonwald are a new wave loving duo from Italy who wear their heart on their sleeve when it comes to influences: The Cure, New Order, Suicide. They've been knocking about for a couple of years – their debut album 'Amplified Nature' was released by Luxembourg label Pocket Heaven in 2009 – but have birthed something special in brand new song Treasure. There's something uncanny about the way those ghostly vocals melt into the frayed but determined chords. Treasure sounds like its been around forever in a dug-up classic kind of way and, on a grey Monday, that provides all sorts of comfort.
